I'm going to tell you a story project

year 6 stream 4

The activities carried out in this mini project are based on Five Card Flickr Stories. Year-6 students chose 5 photos and wrote a story based on them. After several cycles of collaborative reviewing and proofreading, they published the stories on their website. During the project, students developed their communicative competence in English while developing their digital skills.

Expo Almafuerte 2013: The Yearly Whole School Exhibition

On 7^th and 8^th November, the yearly whole school exhibition was held. All of the students showcased the outcomes of the projects they had been working on in different subjects. They gave oral presentations and shared their learning experience with their mates and students from nearby schools that were visiting us.

At Expo Almafuerte 2013, the projects that made it through to the District and Regional Exhibitions were also showcased.

Our place in cyberspace project

year 6 streams 4 & 6 LEARNING ENGLISH

Year-6 students created their website on Wix and tweaked the site template to host their pieces of work. They wrote their class profile (About Us page) collaboratively and linked the website to their personal profiles on Google+ (Contact Us page).

The website has become their e-portfolio and enabled them to showcase what they've been doing in the English lessons. It has also let them generate traffic to their personal profiles.
